The deskUNPDF interface is sleek and easy to navigate. You open your document from the clearly marked icon, view it in the main part of the window and use the panel on the left to specify exactly what conversion format - and which parameters - you would like to use.
Conversions with deskUNPDF are quick, easy and, essentially, very accurate. There is a degree of error to be expected when using PDF converters, but deskUNPDF manages to keep it low. You can also create conversion profiles, which really speeds things up, not to mention a variety of other small but useful tweaks.
deskUNPDF also supports OCR, but it is unclear if this is in-built functionality or something that requires an extra download. If it does, it's regrettable, as OCR support is increasingly standard in PDF conversion applications. This point apart, deskUNPDF is an excellent, full-featured converter that is well worth a look.
